Meet Dean – Leading Our Macedon Ranges Builds
As Co-Director of Backman Builders, Dean leads the charge on our Macedon Ranges projects, blending rural know-how with high-performance building expertise.
With over two decades of hands-on experience, Dean is known for his practical mindset, calm leadership, and ability to bring out the best in both people and projects.
He thrives in the open landscapes and lifestyle builds of the Macedon Ranges, where sustainability, craftsmanship, and connection to the land matter most.
Dean’s approach is honest, grounded, and solution-driven. He believes in doing things right the first time and delivering homes that perform beautifully for generations.
Off-site, Dean is a devoted father to four daughters and a passionate farmer. Whether he’s in the paddock checking cows or on the tools, he brings care, grit, and a strong work ethic to everything he does.
Hardworking, humble, and community-minded, Dean builds more than homes; he helps shape the region he proudly calls home.
